TR-WWW is a Macintosh based search engine for use with the MacHTTP server software. It allows users to search and subsequently browse document collections using a forms based interface. You create document sets on your server, consisting of text, html or Word files. Users can then search these using boolean terms, and view the results either as keyword in context lists, or WAIS style relevance ranked results.
The engine is a highly optimised rapid real time search system, not requiring pre indexing. It is thus ideal for document collections that are rapidly changing (such as realtime information feeds).
It is extremely easy to administer - simply create a documents folder, dump all the documents you wish to make available into that folder, and then launch the tr-www application. The provided forms interface then handles the rest.
